I own DRR since 2019, and in 2025 I added on VDH as I'm in Southern California. I had stayed at VDH several times before deciding to purchase. The room design, the theming, the colors, the lesser-obvious elements like the hallway that's shaped very peculiarly like a D, and many other details make this resort stand out above so many others (granted, I've only stayed at about 6 resorts so far, but they all fell short in the Disney theme department.) Then there's even the Anaheim aspect of it all, which basically means that everything is so cozy and compact. Downtown Disney is merely 100 steps away from the hotel side exit. No joke. Obviously, Anaheim is significantly more space constrained than Orlando, but that's both a pro and a con. Disney has done so much with such little space in Anaheim. Frankly, limited availability at this resort is the only downside. It's not as bad as VGC, but this is one of those resorts that fully book up at the 7-month mark and rarely have cancellations. No surprise. Enjoy your stay!
